About Your New Hospital

The new Peterson Regional Medical Center is designed with efficiency, top-quality health care and comfort foremost in mind. From the lobby’s soaring three-story atrium and peaceful water feature to the spacious dining area overlooking a beautiful garden, the new hospital will provide a soothing, compassionate environment designed to reduce stress and facilitate healing.

The new medical center’s limestone and brick exterior pays tribute to traditional Hill Country architecture and also mirrors the design of the existing Peterson Regional Ambulatory Care Center. The functional interior layout groups clinical and diagnostic departments together for the seamless delivery of patient care. All 125 patient rooms are private, because research shows that patients actually recover more quickly in a private room. They are less susceptible to disease transmission, and the reduced room traffic means they experience less stress. These factors contribute to higher patient morale, which can mean a speedier recovery.

Finally, the new medical center will have the ability to grow and adapt to new, life-saving technologies as they evolve – with minimal disruption of services for patients or staff. The Peterson Regional Medical Center will be the premier healthcare facility of the Hill Country, providing quality care for generations to come.
